Lucky you for meeting him in person! I was able to get my book signed by him too but via correspondence and snail mail.
I'm putting together a 26th cavalry impression for Reading next year. Even if there won't be a horse, I can just say we already "ate" the horses as did happen in Bataan. ;D

It was great meeting him a real war hero and for his claim to fame in person. I shall never forget it. I consulted him a lot on my 1/6 PS Cavalryman figure and he suggested that I submit my pictures after I won the 1st place contest for my 1/6 figure to the Philippine Scout Heritage website too! I'm so happy that he was able to see it and help me getting it right. He told me that the rights to his story was bought by newline cinema but until now has never been green lighted into a film. I hope to see you 26th PS outfit. Will you get the laced up enlistedman cavalry boots? And Kakhi riding breeches? Don't forget the US army issued BOLO. Philip

I already have the lace up boots although I'm not 100% happy with the repro I got. I would do though. It takes forever to lace up!
I was also able to get a pair of original khaki breeches, my size too! I'm thinking of having it copied so I could wear the copy, no the original. Although if it's just going to be worn for one day, I guess I could.
There is a repro bolo being sold on ebay. I'm planning to get one instead of the original which could go for over $100. The repro I think goes for just $30+ or something. I also still need to get a 9 pocket cartridge belt.
