Just wondering guys.
When members join your re-enactment groups, do you put them through a training program regarding basic drills and ceremonies? Or do you expect the folks who show up to already know the basics?

Both. Depending on the event, there's practice and rehearsing that goes on prior to the event.

Often times our new menbers have no training at all as we are always in need of "recruits" to make our group grow. Sometimes they already have military training. I myself only had high school PNT training in the past. We try as much as possible to everyone to find the time to practice and drill. And come out looking like a cohesive fighting unit.
Our biggest dilemman is finding passionate menbrs to join and portray Philippine History through impressions and reenactments as this is also a very expensive hobby to get into.
