A photo of Carino Victa, a bolo maker of Cavite Viejo Village who provided weapons to the Filipino resistance fighters circa 1898. The photo is in the Library of Congress. It is also published in Kasaysayan: The History of the Filipino People. Book 5. Kawit (formerly Cavite El Viejo) is an urban municipality in the province of Cavite, Philippines. Kawit is the birthplace of Emilio Aguinaldo, the first president of the Republic of the Philippines. It is also the location of his home, the Aguinaldo Shrine, where independence from Spain was declared on June 12, 1898. Attachments:
