Looking for something a bit different in reenactment? How about WWI? The Great War Historical Society (GWHS) is looking for new recruits and with the Centennial coming up, now is the time to jump on board. We have units representing both sides and it's definitely different than any other period. We're in the process of working up a new battlesite and we put on spring and fall battle events. Also, we've been attending the timeline event at Ft. MacArthur for over ten years now (we're by the front gate) and we'll be there in 2013. Our website is located here: www.gwhsww1.org/For further information, please feel free to PM me. Thanks! :-)

Just to let people know, we have acquired a new battlesite and are in the process of developing it. The spring battle is scheduled for March 23-24, 2013. For more information, check out our website at: gwhsww1.org

I was interested in getting some info about joining GWHS.. I live in So California (Camarillo, Ventura County). My paternal grandfather was a private in the AEF, Division 1, 16 th Infantry, company B. He was awarded The Distinguished Service Cross for action at Sossions. In late July of 1918. He also was part of the occupying force in Germany that crossed the Rhine at the end of the war.
Thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to offer.
Best regards. Mark Karch 805-377-0527
