I was hoping for some candid-camera happenings that were captured. So often I wish I had held a camera at some "Battles I attended in the 'Sealed Knot' (English Civil War) Society. Such as the time a friend in Prince Rupert's Cav. led a charge down a hill to sweep in an arc in front of the crowd ( to outflank Roundhead infantry), only for the girth strap to go and toss him cartwheeling towards the crowd. Alas his thigh boots scooped up fresh green horse dung en-route propelling dung nuggets into the spectators! So much was compacted in the boot that on raising to his feet, that not realizing the heavy weight, he fell on his side still clutching his feathered cavalier's felt hat and fisted it into a cow pat! On entering the beertent that night, 1500 voices greeted him with " Hail the flying Dungo!" That was one of many special events.

Hail Flying Dungo! we'll have more of these moments as reenactment events start to multiply. Dax broke his front false teeth in his heroic Banzai plunge into the barbed wire by the way. Now that's what i call dedication!
