As several of you know, I virtually grew up with the 1943 movie "Bataan" and credit the film for getting me interested in the Philippines and Bataan. Along the line, I've collected a number of movie stills. This is the latest one. From left to right are: Robert Taylor, Robert Walker, Lloyd Nolen and Thomas Mitchell. One of the reasons I bought it was the machine gun. It appears to be an old Colt M1904 Maxim machine gun, which was standard for the U.S. Army until 1917. I'll bet some studio special effects department bought a few of them to use in the movies.
