Hello Philip,
Long time no see, since FPAC years ago. However, I did recently see some of your reenactment group at the Long Beach Public Library for LB's celebration of Filipino American History Month this past October.
Do you have Filipino reenactment members who can ride or learn to ride horses for a parade mounted contingent?
If yes and you want this to happen, I have a very good mentor who will help you.
Let me introduce Frank Quiambao, who I have included in this email. Frank is a member of the very well respected Long Beach Mounted Police, and knows a lot about staging a mounted group for parades. He knows about renting horses rather than owning, and his family has a very strong military history.
Frank Quiambao told me of the last horse cavalry charge in U.S. history. The event is well documented at the commander's website:

And I believe it was you (Legionnaire) who posted photos of all the authentic regalia and uniform of the Cavalry platoon of 27 members of the 26th Philippine Scouts.

I look forward to seeing this mounted parade contigent at the Tournament of Roses Parade and other parades around the U.S. -- Looks like there is already at least one member -- I found a photo of a mounted 26th Cavalry Re-enactor, Rudy Cabigas:

"Rudy Cabigas, a retired San Jose Fire Department Captain, representing a Filipino trooper of the legendary the 26th Cavalry, Philippine Scouts. His father and an uncle served with the 26th."
I am thrilled about this possibility, so please keep me in the loop. :-)
Please contact Frank Quiambao very soon.

Hi Guys from the LA Chapter,
What do you all think of this possibility?
Philip
