Passing on info from Gil to the Nininger Chapter members and friends... and to those who may be local to the area who might be interested to attend.

Gil:
The PSHS Nininger will get a booth at the Philippine Expo. Nininger Chapter Members and friends will man the booth dressed as PS in battle dress uniforms. The booth will be set up with posters, banners, PSHS outreach paraphernalia, field gear, equipment, PSHS Nininger brochures, things we normally exhibit and items that we may be able to sell at the booth such as T-Shirts, dry goods, posters, memorabilia, pins, etc...
If you have some other ideas, let us know. We will still be looking for other items to raise funds with, so please keep your eyes open and let us know of some of our ideas. We could probably raise some money with this effort as well as enjoy the event.
By the way, we were given the honor to lead the parade (inside the exhibit area) with our colors, so I'm looking for four volunteers. Also, there will be a high amount of Press Media and TV media there. So, I'm sure we will have an opportunity to put the PSHS and the PSHS-Nininger Chapter in the news media for the Philippine Community.
Below you will find information about the Philippine Expo;
This festival holds exhibits of a vast array of products and services catering to hundreds of thousands of Filipino-Americans in Southern California. The 1995 Philippine-American Convention and Exposition of June 3 and 4, 1995 at the Pomona Fairplex was attended by a record-setting attendance. The 1996 event which was held at the same venue and the succeeding expositions in other places attracted thousands of people. These expositions proved the tremendous purchasing power of this market segment especially in the area of retail sales.
This event also demonstrated the capability of the company to create a landmark marketing event that put buyer and seller in one place at one time, in record proportions. But more than anything else, the festival serves to highlight the best of Philippine culture and tradition in a way that makes the community take pride in its roots even as it tries to meld successfully within American society.
As an exhibitor, you are assured of optimum exposure for your products and services. Your participation will have a personal impact on the thousands of Filipino-Americans who will flock to the Philippine-American Convention and Exposition. Understandably, with the Filipino-Americans ranking high in average household income among the ethnic groups in the entire United States, the Filipino-American market is here to stay. This is your market. Reach it now.
