I acquired this photograph that had a poem talking about service in the Philippines before WWII, which came in a scrapbook from USMF member awm. The scrapbook was made by a veteran who served in the Phil. Department Coast Artillery and has some pre-WWII Corregidor and Philippines photos. This poem caught my eye because the fourth verse sounds a lot like the poem "The Battling Bastards of Bataan:" "We're the Battling Bastards of Bataan, No mama, no papa, no Uncle Sam, No aunts, no uncles, no cousins, no nieces, No pills, no planes, no artillery pieces, And nobody gives a d**n!" by Frank Hewlett, 1942. Here's the photo of the poem "The Creed of the Islands"
