Albrecht, what wunderbar images! I hope that someday I might be able to join this Waffen SS pinoy "osttruppen" reenactment group in Manila, later this year after this accursed election "gun ban". You should have a name for your group... The 743rd Freiwillingen SS Ferndinand Blumentritt Panzer Grenadier Division (in honor of Jose Rizal's friend) for example. You should also have a special armband, he, he, he........... And now for a new soundtrack while viewing these new set of photos. (absolutely nothing political meant, ah well just a tiny bit of anti-communist schwinerei, but essentially we agree that Hitler and the NS ideology are nothing but "scheissen").

Wow!!!
What the heck is the band before elections? Is this in the Philippines? My goodness these are airsoft guns.
So the guy that makes the class>A's khaki uniforms did these? Very nice.
I too had the same thought Ray. I will have to dig my stuff out and do a feldgrau shot.

Yes, over here in the islands, even airsoft guns have to be banned at election time...these are often used for intimidation and the recent bank robbery in a high end mall (election funds?) yielded an airsoft m203 attached to the lone bank robber KIA. Peple are still hoping that exemptions will be made but its not likely. What some enterprising game sites have done is to offer storage onsite so games can continue.
One thing's for sure, this will give us time to concentrate on the far more politically correct PS gear we need to assemble before the Mt Samat commemoration this april.
If in case i manage to offend anyone with these photos...these are not for the glorification of the NS ideaology. We are well aware of its historical context, Just having some fun playing the bad guys. Its that Darth Vader appeal dontcha know and raising eyebrows and turning heads in the process.
If the reaction we got during this particular photo shoot is any indication...it looks like "KG blumentritt 44" will soon be seeing new recruits. Will post as soon as we can make another photo shoot (legal or illegal).
now if we can only resurrect ramon zamora (sprakenheit) we could recruit him. Anyone remember Ramon Zamora?

The tunics and patches are all done locally. We use cotton twill instead of wool as that would be authentic but completely unbearable in our climate. soon we'll have local helmets and hopefully webbing. Some of us were actually thinking of doing an ostruppen impression (We already have the eastern volunteer breast patch, and legion turkistan patch but i guess the appeal of the double lightning runes and camouflage smocks won us over. perhaps as time and budget allow we'll expand our repertoire. Personally i think we'd look great as soviets.

Great stuff Nice photos. I'm jealous of all the German airsoft guns... why are there so many affordable German WW2 airsoft guns? The US ones are expensive and hard to find.

now if we can only resurrect ramon zamora (sprakenheit) we could recruit him. Anyone remember Ramon Zamora? Ah yes, Ramon Zamora, one of our Filipino great actor-comedians of the 70s and 80s. For those too young to have known and remembered, back in the 70s there was an American TV comedy show called "Rowan and Martin's Laff Ins" which featured a guy wearing a german helmet and round spectacles whispering jokes behind a bush. Well, Philippine TV copied the format and had its won "Super Laugh-In" show complete with its own German character named "Isprakenhayts" played by none other than Ramon Zamora. Anyway, the Isapkenhayts character of Zamora became a big hit and outlasted even the parent TV show. Mr. Zamora went on to make a string of comedy movies with his Hitlerian spoof. The madly insane thing about it was, the "Isprakenhayts" Hitler character is supposedly a "good-natured" even if bumbling crime fighting superhero who even wore swastikas on his boots. The "PC crowd" may not have been invented yet, or perhaps the Philippines just didn't know any better then, ha, ha, ha.
