I don't think we have a link to this digital photo collection yet. It has plenty of Philippine historical photos. Just do a search on "Philippines" or anything related. uwdc.library.wisc.edu/Collections.shtmlHere are some sample pictures from the collection. PMA cadets 1938 PMA Class of 1940 - One of these cadets is Commodore Ramon Alcaraz who attended the May 6 ceremony at Fort Mac: Click here for picture of Commodore AlcarazHarrassing underclassman Philippine Scouts 1947 Japanese captured by guerrillas 1945 BUT THIS IS THE ICING ON THE CAKE! Um, that Karetela MG is just awesome! Filipino version of a 'Technical.'
In the photo with the captured Japanese soldier, I like that the barefoot guerilla is rockin' the early pattern American grey dust goggles and an M1 Garand. Nice!

That rifle looks like a gas port to me. It would seem they got later American weapons during the post surrender and invasion time. They have M1 Carbines in some of the photos like that.

Sure... except it will have to be a .50 cal mounted on a swivel so it could swing 360 degrees

Can someone tell me how do you insert a photograph into a subject? I'd like to post a newspaper picture of my aunt who served on Bataan/Corregidor

You could upload it as an attachment to the posting. Or you could upload it to a photo hosting site like Photobucket.com and link to it using tags.

The above picture that is from the 1950's, whom my first cousin sent to me. This is a picture taken in the 1950's showing my Auntie Ecay; Cpt. Frederica M. Garcia who was the commander at V. Luna Medical Center; now the AFP Medical Center. She was working at Fort McKinley prior to the War, went with the other nurses to Bataan/Corregidor. After the war she rose in rank from 2nd Lt. to Colonel, and was Posthumously promoted to Brigadier General, Nurse Corp; AFP. So to honor her memory, I've been going on a tear trying to find out more about her. So if I may have seemed a bit hard on the questions I'm posting its because I don't have any other information, except for a few burial pictures of her casket in full military honor, and the stories that she was a general. Fantastic! Priceless news article. Who kept it all these years? You should do an impression of her I grew up about half a mile from V.Luna hospital. I was confined there a couple of times when I was a kid (asthma). My grandfather was a veteran and I think family members could avail of medical care there muc cheaper than the regular hospitals.
