BLACK RIVER RAILROAD HISTORIC TRUST HOSTS
RAILROAD DAYS FAMILY FUN EVENT
RINGOES, NJ - On the weekend of June 20-21, 2009, the Black River Railroad Historical Trust (BRRHT) will host its annual Railroad Days event. This family-oriented special event will offer the public an in-depth look at Hunterdon County's railroad heritage through special train and caboose rides, interactive displays, and guided tours from railroad volunteers. New this year will be a display of military vehicles.
Passengers aboard Flemington-Ringoes trains will be greeted in
Ringoes by railroaders offering guided tours of yard facilities. There, families will get an up-close look at equipment that is not typically on public display, such as a railroad wreck crane and maintenance vehicles. In addition, children will have the chance to ring the bell of a steam locomotive and blow locomotive
