The bridge a few kilometers west of the town of Rosario...
This was the bridge that the quick thinking Maj. Trapnell and Capt. Wheeler blocked with a veterinary truck that they set on fire to prevent the enemy tanks from pursuing the 26th. The 192nd tank platoon that was covering the regiment's withdrawal pulled back and left the regiment unprotected. The Japanese tanks caught and shot up the unprepared cavalrymen who were arrayed along the road getting ready to move out.
