I've always wondered about this. I don't think it's a reenactment per se but some sort of a walk not unlike those "AIDS walk" or a marathon. I've thought about someday participating in this walk. I'm not sure if it's open to anybody, but it's something that I'd like to do in the future. I can walk the 26.2 miles. I just can't run it like a marathon. I'd surely die ;D

Folks,
Any update on this years event?
We should plan on this for next year.
It would have been nice for us here in LA to go, but we have been busy with organizing 6 May 07.

It's very intriguing. Or at the very least we can offer our participation to the organizers to walk say 10 miles in our gear (okay maybe not full battle gear) as a PR thing. Something for the newspapers, 10 o'clock news, etc (heh heh) ;D
From what I've come across online, there are many New Mexico National Guard veterans of the Death March who grace the event.
