As I recall, wasn't Camp O'Donnell started as a Philippine National Army camp? I'm guessing the taller building in the background are the original barracks? It is sobering to imagine all the pain and death that took place within those building!

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be O'Donnell but they look similar. Of course the 1945 look was more ghastly than it did pre-war.

I believe that was in Tagaytay PA camp with the 41st Infantry. It's mentioned in the Life Mag. article i have. But have to check on it.

Camp O'Donnell was being built for use by the 71st Div (PA). It was unfinished at the start of the war. Most ominously, it's water supply was so inadequate that it could not sustain even the under-strength 71st. The 3rd Bn 71st Infantry, for example, actually had to encamped along an adjacent river because there was not enough water available in O'Donnell to support it. Of course, things only deteriorated thereafter.
