Thanks for the heads up. Not sure if the PS wore the wool pants though. I've seen khaki breeches in photos. Good find for the cavalry collector either way.

I just received mine yesterday, and they are really great. This is a great buy, at less than half the price of the repros. ($150 or more). These are new, unissued breeches, made of the wool/ elastique blend and were a very expensive issue item, when they were introduced in 1937. This is a great opportunity to own an original cavalry item for a reasonable price.

Do the buttons have U.S. Army or so on them?

Hi Rudy, The buttons are of a plastic type, brown in color, completely plain, with a very slight concave shape. The single top button (waist) is 3/4 in. in dia. The 4 buttons on the fly are 1/2 in. in dia. There is no imbossing on them.
