Now don't anyone be a tight-ass and get all "You are disgracing the memory of the regiment by your impertinent remarks..." Just saying, these guys were the glamour boys of Bataan..and well-deserved at that: Per Wainwright, post Agno: "Here," said General Wainwright, himself a cavalryman, "was true cavalry delaying action, fit to make a man's heart sing. Pierce (26th, Commanding) that day upheld the best traditions of the cavalry service."ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USA/USA-P-PI/USA-P-PI-8.html

Fortunately even though only 106 troopers fromt he regiment survived the war, we were lucky enough to meet quite a few of them. Col. Ed Ramsey Capt. Felipe Fernandez Dan Figuracion, Troop F (was in the last charge with Col. Ramsey) Capt. Menandro Parrazo (right) Dr. Isabelo Torio (left) And a couple of others with Rudy whose names I can't remember

Sad that my uncle was one of the 106 or so and died just about when the PSHS started.
He of course served with Frenandez nad by my dad's account was in the charge also.
And are you kidding a filipino on a horse, the ladies were all over them. When my dad went to town they fought the infantry for those ladies.
