Teddy Ortega got an email last weekend from the TFC girl that did the interviewing that she will notify us. I've email her to ask again and hopefully will get an air date soon.

Greetings Gentlemen
Great work on the black and white picture Victor. It looks very WWII(vintage). Thanks for all the additional pics and newspaper article Philip. I hope I can watch the TFC broadcast of the event. I'm sorry that they messed up your name.

It turned out Joseph just found out that his uncle was a Scout. It's in the blood, he could assume the look ;D Yup, I just found out indeed that my Uncle is a Philippine Scout. I told my Dad about me wearing USAFFE uniform and he told me about his older brother. When I was a kid, I have heard stories that my Uncle was a World War II veteran, and that he escaped the Death March to fight with the guerillas up until the liberation. But, as I said, I was a kid then and didn't really paid much attention to those stories. Sadly, my Uncle passed away of lung cancer when I was in my teens. I was wondering then why his casket was covered with an American Flag, and that he was given a 21 gun salute. I never got to hear his war stories first hand. The only known documentation I know of my Uncle's exploits was through a book written in the early 80s. The author was a Philippine Military officer. He compiled details of all the Filipino heroes of World War 2, including my Uncle's actions which garnered him a decoration. The author provided a signed copy to my Dad. Unfortunately, I cannot determine the whereabouts of that book. I don't even know now the name of the author nor the exact title of the book. But you guys gotta believe me. There is such a book out there. Hopefully, someday, a copy will turn up. bravotwozero, Would the title of this book be "Filipino Heroes", a blue paperback with photos of Filipino medals on the cover? I have this book back in the Philippines but I forgot the author's name.

I have to apologize as we never got a notification from TFC when they would air the interview which I believe they already did a while back without informing us. Philip
