Here are just some of the photos sent in by Perry of their group's participation at a costume and toy convention in Manila. They do this to reach the younger audience and infuse some awareness to the country's history in a "cool" way. It also somewhat counter-balances the pure pop-culture of current toys and anime characters. Congratulations on a successful participation. Great effort! smg.photobucket.com/albums/v477/jvsv/Living_History/BNKphotoshoot/ToyCon/?start=allSome photos from the album: But this proves that no matter how young you are.... uniform is a magnet for women

I congradulated Perry and his BNK team for showing and educating the younger Pinoys about their rich countery's history. I am really impressed that they are reaching out to them and it shows in the results they have achieved. This is the great way to really make them excited about realizing Philippine heroes and not fictitous scifi super heroes.

1st Philippine Cosplay & Historical Convention Sat., March 29 at Robinson Manila. The Lady in Maria Clara dress is Joyce San Juan who sang the 1st Phil. Nat'l Anthem in Spanish made by Jose Palma in 1899. MABUHAY! ;D When she sang it during her skit, the judges & organizers stood up & the rest of the audience followed making that moment very solemn. KA Perry with Joyce Video of Perry and Joyce's National Anthem performance at U tube link www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UjtWjHWkqkKa Perry Won as "Best Historical" all text above from Pedro Javier CONGRADULATION and MABUHAY to PERRY JAVIER and JOYCE SAN JUAN ! You make us proud of your tribute to out heritage! ;D Philip

man... I missed the national anthem (heck I nearly missed the whole thing thanks to that moronic motorcycle driver that ran into my car!) - it's always a treat to hear it either in Spanish or Filipino. *sniff *

Here are some one-man photos shot by Perry at Villa Escudero in the Philippines. He was just working with what little he had in terms or available gear and resources. I like what turned up. Great pictures!
