On Wednesday, 2 July 2008, Mrs. Olive Rosen and Dr. Anthony Rama Maravillas consulted with the Curator of the proposed National Museum of the U.S. Army. The Museum will be built on the grounds of Ft. Belvoir, VA, which is about eighteen miles south of Washington, DC.
The Curator, Kenneth Smith-Christmas, who had worked on U.S. Marine Corps museums over the past thirty-plus years, promised the two that there would indeed be a display devoted to the fifty-year history of the Philippine Scouts, from their beginnings through to the First Philippine Campaign of WW II. The holdings may include goods from the former Army museum at the Presidio, San Francisco, CA; perhaps materials taken from the Phil. Scouts memorabilia at Ft. Sam Houston, TX; and from donations from PS veterans and their families.
Mrs. Rosen and Dr. Maravillas will collaborate with Mr. Smith-Christmas on this project over the next few years.

I missed this posting by Dr. Maravillas...
Dr. Maravillas, I'd like to donate some items for the museum display. Please keep us posted on the developments. Thanks. -victor
