Beautiful pictures! Also, a nice new "masthead" picture of one of my favorite weapons, the 37mm cannon.

Hi All: Picture of last years parade by my house I have been doing for 19 years. This is the reason it will be tuff for me to show up in SF this May. It is the 20th year and they made me Grand Marshall. My daughter Katelyn is next to me and she is 18 and has been in it since birth. She is off to college and this will be her last for awhile. I have been blessed to have a daughter to share this with in honor of her family and her godfather. This parade is to remember those who have served and are no longer with us. We have a big list. 1951 Willys M38A, mounted is a semi auto 30 1919A machinegun. Well known in my town because of that 30. Even the PD love it. Rudy/26cav

Hi Philip:
If you read the bottom he could have been with another outfit and was with C Troop of the 26th on Corregidor. My Uncle was with E Troop of the 26 when he left Baatan.
Was your dad Philippine Army?

Is just that that Person ahs the sma e first and last name as my Dad. ;D
My Uncle was with the PA and he was in Bataan. I saw my Dad's 1930's ROTC completion certificate signed by a Col. US cavalry. He still has the certificate.

Hi Philip:
Well that explains things in a way., The outfit my uncle was with was made up of men from all over the place. Your uncle just might have served with the 26 cav, just because he was at the wrong place at the RIGHT TIME!!

It was great meeting you again in the reunion.

Hi Philip
Yea great seeing you again. I keep telling everyone, I do 1920's Philippine Scout. No Garand used.
When I do the Garand I need to change shoes and put on lace boots, change hats and need a 1928 saddle which I am looking for. Then I can do my Uncle 1940-1945 version with garand
I think I did a 45 shoot but my picture's will come to me later. Will get back to you.

Hi All; Parade photo on horse in Felton as Grand Marshal of the 20th anniversary parade. Great Day for me and an Honor to lead the Valley Vets and my family. The following photo is of my brother in the passenger seat. He is the last of the Cabigas Veterans. He served with the Marines from 1960-1964. The last time he was in the PI's was in Subic bay in 1963. The rest are my daughter Kate driving and my brothers boy Ruben Jr. and his son Jonathan. Rudy/26cav

Hey Philip You are too sharp on some issues, like total original.. I am in a parade to have fun and to honor my dad and of course you might see something different like the horse next to me and people of the the 21 century. Glasses I really do not care about. I am not doing this for a magazine or to be used for official shots. They are rimmed glasses and if you need to ask they are close enough. "What I have accomplished in 20 years, is that folks up here in Santa Cruz know what a Philippine Scout is". You crack me up with some of your relpies. "Means you make me laugh". Trust me, I get a kick out of it and keep it up. Do not mean to be harsh on you, I am just showing picture's friends have sent to me and have no control of outcome. I got your package and you should not have paid that much to send them. Regular mail would have been enough. Some other photos and the other side of the 7 hoofed horse with my daughters godmother who rode with me taken from the other side in color by my wife. Last picture I am making "Lupin" the horse, dance for the crowd. Look at background of folks laughing while she was dancing. They loved it. Rudy/26Cav

Great pics Rudy! And the Grand Marshall from the 26th!
I wish we could have joined and supported you in the parade as color guards ! So much happening so little time! It would have been great if the PS vets were there too and the crowd and vets would have loved it.
The colored pics you can really appreciate the beauty of your horse. I appreciate the strength and beauty of horses.
The definition of my name, Greek in origin "Philippos" phil - love, hippos - horse, means lover of horses and my birthday falls on the 26th! ;D
BTW I wanted to make sure you get those rare pins safe and complete.
How long was the parade time and length? No after parade evening celebration pics?
Philip
