Thank you for the official invitation for next years reunion! And Welcome to the forum !

Yes that is a great theme were everyone will dressed in period 40's and have the music of that time too. Will there be Filipino 40's songs?

I had the great pleasure to meet Dr. Anthony Rama Maravillas of the SF chapter at the Tacoma event.

We will be there again. A few of the menbers are eager to participate and hopefully present a bigger contigent.
This will be a road trip to SF were we could bring more gear and displays for the event.

Oh, oh, oh, o.....I got just the song which we can do a musical number routine on for next year at Frisco!

It's called "Dog Faced Soldier". I know this is a rip-off from the U.S. 3rd Division with a few changes here and there, but I'm sure they won't mind if we adopted it to entertain the Philipppine Scouts. Here goes:

Well it's going to be a year before this event, give or take a few months, so there'll be plenty of time to figure it out; but I for one am shameless enough to be willing to sing in front of all those people.

I already have an old LP recording of "Dogfaced Soldier" with a jazzed up musical rendition. It would also be nice if we can do a comedy shtick before singing. We can use the ancient Abbot & Costello routine of "Hughes on first, Watts on second"; or some similar gag. It will be hilarious if we can pull it off.

You may be aware of a current whiff of discord in the gang at present but the boys will come around.....they always do because they're good soldiers. Of course I'm being optimistic ;D
