On the PSHS message board I recently had a request to record the names of the nurses on the ‘Angels of Bataan’ marker. On my many visits to Corregidor I’m able to see the island in much greater detail than the visitors on the one day ‘whirlwind’ tours. That request gave me the idea to put together all the images of the Gen.Wainright Memorial where the ‘Angels of Bataan’ marker is also located. Perhaps this collection of images will give you the feel of like you where there in person. I think the Memorial has been done right and the island management is taking good care of it. This is a new link and shows more images and is active again as of 27 Feb 2011: s74.photobucket.com/albums/i265/PI-Sailor/Corregidor%20by%20subject/CI%20Subalbum%20No%201/Wainwright-Nurses%20Memorial/The previous link was my Kodak image sharing account and they don’t allow posting on bulletin boards anymore. So I had moved this album to a different company which doesn’t have these restrictions.

Thank you Carlos. I especially like the aerial photo with the labels.
