Do you guys have videos of your re-enactments?
On YouTube perhaps?

The guys in California have participated in a few Span-Am/ Fil-Am war public reenactments. They also did a Bataan skirmish back in July. Unfortunately, I don't think there are any videos available. Just pictures.
However, a documentary film maker (Donald Plata) filmed us in Reading and at Fort MacArthur in California for a documentary about the Scouts for possible airing on the PBS channel next year. We'll see how that goes.

Thanks. Did Frank make this vid? With all the effort that you guys put into the uniforms, research, etc., I a bit surprised that you don't video tape yourselves more often. Any thoughts about video taping an assault re-enactment from the POV of one of the attackers . . . ala Saving Private Ryan?

Sigh... I'm surprised but not that surprised. I've been wanting to put together a video for a long time. In my case, i'm geographically removed from most everyone so it's tough to get together to shoot a video. It's tough enough to take good pictures. I'm glad we had some pretty good ones this summer.
In the case of the guys in CA, it's also tough when everyone's in the "act" and nobody's in the audience to take videos. The preparation for events take so much of the reenactors' time that planning for a video shoot becomes very much secondary. Like I said, there was a film maker who videotaped us this summer. I hope the documentary will come out nice next year (ETA on the release).
I'll post a video from an airsoft event that I shot and spliced together a couple of years back. I'd like to do something similar within the reenactment hobby. I'll post it tomorrow as I have to look for it first.

Frank took stills on both days and it was only Donald Platta who took a lot of videos of our battle. I know Frank took a video of our last year's participation but we were not in a Bataan battle last year. It was only this past July at Fort Mac. were we had our very first battle of Bataan event.
