Rays of a Setting Sun: Recollections of WW2 by Col. Eliseo D. Rio Found this book at National Bookstore here in the PI. I've only read the first 60 pages but what an excellent book! The author was a "Firsty" at the PMA and was about to graduate class of 1942 when the war broke out. His personal accounts are excellent. He talked about the raw Philippine Army recruits they got who enlisted after the war broke out. They, the commissioned PMA cadets frantically trained the raw recruits. They couldn't train them on live rifle fire because it was forbidden and they were already on the frontlines. It just illustrated what they had to work with. He also mentioned one of his PMA classmates, George Ortega several times in the book. I believe he's Ray and Teddy's uncle. I can't wait to read the rest of the book. Amazon link: amzn.to/2JAAOjr
