www.militaryrifles.com/Spain/Ovid-Rem.htmI wonder if non-firing display rifles could be made here in the Philippines just for display and costume purposes? Or, worse comes to worse, to modify one of those CAT Springfields? Thinking aloud, Tom

That's what we suggested before. It is totally doable. The craftsmen in Paete, Laguna can easily make a prototype. Just get photo references and measurements. Someone needs to try it out. Let us know if you're able to have one made

I have sent Perry and Selwyn CD copies of photos with measurements scale I took of every angle of the Rolling block rifle. And apparently no one has been able to reproduce it. From last time I heard from them.

Man... what I've got now in the way of muskets for our Pirates of the Caribbean/East India Company Group are a Disney 'Daniel Boone' musket and two wood muskets with toy flintlock bits stuck on. Not sexy but it works. Compared to a flintlock the Rolling Block Remington should be easy as pie. Most don't even have to be workable - just maybe one for live fire demonstrations or field stripping demonstrations.
The 1896 groups will be needin' these methinks!
Salutes, Tom
