Peter F. Stevens, author of the book "The Twilight Riders" will attend the reunion and make a presentation. He is very honored to attend and meet the 26th cavalrymen who will be there. He will have some copies of his book available for purchase - a unique opportunity to have him and the cavalrymen sign a copy.
It’s #tbt, and it’s time for a new "PS Inspiring Stories" poster. This week, we’re featuring a colorized photo of the men of the 24th Field Artillery Regiment (PS) during practice, ca. 1941. Note the artillery shield with the Philippine Division insignia as well as the Distinguished Unit Insignia of the 24th F.A. (PS). As a reminder, if you haven’t already, please register for our 31st Reunion taking place on April 24 & 25.
For this week’s #tbt PS Inspiring Story, we’re featuring the soldiers of the 45th Infantry Regiment (PS) circa 1932-33. The commander of the regiment, Col. Ralph McCoy, inspects a Scout company in Mindanao. The Muslim soldiers wore the “tubau” instead of the campaign hat so that they can touch their forehead to the ground while praying.
