Col. Ed Ramsey at May 7 Memorial marker in San Diego for USAFFE. Monday, May 7, 2007 -- People gathered Sunday morning atop of Mt. Soledad to recognize heroes of World War II. Filipinos who fought Japanese troops under American command were honored for their fight for freedom. KUSI's Doug Curlee has the story. There are military memorials all over San Diego, but a lot of people think there's always been one missing -- a memorial to the Filipino and American guerillas who fought the Japanese to a standstill in the Philippines. That problem has been solved now. www.kusi.com/home/7367636.htmlThanks Franz, info and link through the courtesy of Franz Tinio Lopez
