Asia Policy Point invited five former POWs of Japan to a program of events in commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the defense and fall of the Philippines. Highlights included a wreath laying ceremony at the WWII memorial, a luncheon with the "Wounded Warriors" and a reception hosted by Sen. Diane Feinstein.

Fifteen students from the College of the Ozarks and six veterans of the 1942 defense of the Philippines and the 1945 Philippine liberation campaign are in the Philippine Islands for a 10 day Patriotic History Tour. Follow their daily adventures in the blog posts listed below as the veterans revisit Bataan, Corregidor, and other WWII battlefields. The students and veterans are part of the College of the Ozarks' Patriotic Travel Program which is dedicated to encouraging patriotism in current and future generations of Americans and preserving the memories and history of our Nation's veterans.
