Got this over at face book from my friend Ed Sarao. Anyone have any leads?
Good evening Ed. I’m sending this to you for a special request. If you have kept up with our postings at our facebook page you might have seen the postings about our interview of WWII vet and Retired Army Major Edward Farmer. His story was compelling and his request of us was challenging. He wants our Association to return to the family of Senator Salipada Pendatun (first Muslim General in the AFP, Governor of Cotabato and eventual Senator) a Kris Dagger that was given to him by Senator Pendatun in 1944 when Major Farmer was involved in liberating the Philippines from the Japanese. I know that I’m asking a lot but I know you are well connected and you know some people in government that can help. We are looking for any relatives of the late Senator Pendatun so we can communicate with them in hopes of returning this Kris Dagger to them. I’ve attached a photo. I’ve contact a niece of mine in the Philippines who may be contacting someone at GMA 7 for help. I’ve sent an email to the Governor in Cotabato but they haven’t responded. I also sent an email to the PNP Camp in Mindanao named after the late Senator but haven’t heard anything from them either. Please consider taking a side hobby of being an investigator for us and find them for us. I know I’m asking a lot but I hope that you might consider this as an adventure and take it on. Looking forward to your response.. Randy
