Posted by Pauper in the Timawa forum: --------- profile of a well-equipped cavalry soldier and his mount, 1950s. i believe that the AFP cavalry unit was under PA and later, PC command. once commanded by Col. Zobel. a book was also written about it (and its contribution to the anti-dissidence campaign of the period). the unit drew its inspiration from the ww2-era 26th Cavalry (PS). the PC had some sort of revival in the 70s but as a mounted riot control unit.
