I was looking for mess kit utensils this summer to use with the GI mess kit. Couldn't find any at the surplus stores. I used to remember they were all over Quiapo. The "Tia Maria" restaurant near IS in Makati used it as their silverware in late 70s. Found some from one of my wholesale suppliers who had them made. $10 a set that includes knife, sthingy and fork. Marked US no dates. Stainless steel like the originals. Let me know if any of you need some for field use so you can keep your originals secure. Images from web. Bellow are the older kind. With the thick knife handle. Maybe I may find some marked AFP on my next trip home. I used to hate checking these out from supply when we were issued this stuff. Then they wanted these nice and clean for inspection. Rattled around in your backpack. Then we were fed MREs, paper plates, and plastic spns... Now they're no longer in the regular US supply system.
