Hi, I was asked to do research on Capt. Pedro Janolino for my Philippine History class with the title 'Capt. Pedro Janolino: A Hero?'. I tried to do some research on the net but I only found information on Antonio Luna's Assassination. I need to know more about this Kawit Battalion officer (e.g. Achievements, biography, special events with him, etc.). Thank you.

I ran into a possible descendant of Mr. Janolino at a christening party months ago. I'll find out from the home owner for the guy's email or tel. We live in Southern California.

im a great grandson of pedro janolino of cavite city what exactly happened to Pedro Janolino after the assassination of Luna? My grandfather in my father side came from Iloilo. But since I was a child, they are narrating to me the story of Antonio Luna, saying that Capt. Pedro Janolino was my great great grandfather. It was the same story narrated by my grandfather to my dad. I did some research but accounts about him were vague.

Pedro Janolino was a coward assassin, he does not deserve to be called a Hero.

Pedro Janolino was a traitor. Nothing much was said about him after Luna's assassination maybe because he was mocked. If I were Janolino's decendant, I would not be proud of him especially after watching the movie Heneral Luna.

wag niyo ikahiya ang pagiging caviteño, i have not seen the movie heneral luna, but i'm tired of hearing that caviteños are traitors.... yan ang pinamalita ng mga taga maynila sa bintang na si aguinaldo ang pumatay kay bonifacio.... independent and territorial kami, we don't tolerate mga "DAYO" na naghahari harian sa amin.... that explains Cavite being the seat of independence ng bayan natin

a.)Aguinaldo ordered the death of Andres Bonifacio. May 10, 1897 in the mountains of Maragondon where Andres Bonifacio was executed.
b.)Bonifacio was charged, tried, killed and found guilty of treason by a "CAVITE military tribunal".A tribunal composes of Aguinaldo's men.
c.)Capt. Pedro Janolino accompanied by some of the "KAWIT troops" killed Gen. Luna and Col. Roman.
d.)Tomás Mascardo the Kawit Battalion officer, was drunk to do important siege blockade post assigned to him due to a fiesta in Arayat, another Pampanga town.
e.)After Luna's death, Aguinaldo ordered all chiefs of brigades under Luna arrested.
Some were killed like Major Manuel Bernal who was tortured first and his brother Captain Jose Bernal who was released but was later assassinated at Candaba, Pampanga Province, on June 16, 1899.
*No wonder people hate us and call us traitors, oh well goodbye Kawit, hello Batangas hehehehe...

Descendants of Pedro janolino can also be found in Laguna, California and Nevada. Burton na dapat ang surnames nila pero ginamit p rin nila ang janolino. Actually I've heard lots of stories from their elders na iba talaga ang ugali ni Luna. So don't be fooled sa nakikita sa media and tandaan ntn na movie ito.. And also about aguinaldo di daw xa matapang duwag daw xa. he let Pedro intercept Luna before reaching him alam nya kasi na warfreak. I haven't seen the movie personally and I'm willing to watch it. But as I've said di lahat ng Nasa media e totoo. Peace
