Hi Philip;
Thanks for posting. Sorry I did not placed the names before I sent you the photos he-he, my fault.
Friends
Here are some corrections :
1. The 1st photo caption : Left to rigiht : Selwyn Alojipan, Dindo Castillo, Ramon Macasinag, Ms. Victoria Lopez, Alexavier (little boy in Rayadillo), Pedro & Arene Javier
2. Last photo : Ms. Victoria Lopez, Arlene & Pedro Javier.
Ms. Victoria thanked us (BNK & PSHS) so much for making their 4 months exhibit & lectures very colorful & meaningful. She really appreciated told us several times she liked so much the colorguards we have done during the Dec 3 openning where she saw us in uniform from Katipunan till WWII. ITs unfortunate she missed our lecture last Jan16 since she was in abroad.

Presenting Manolo Quezon with the guinit helmet was a very nice gesture. Did he like it? Congratulations on another successful event.

Yes I am a Lopez and I was at the Dec.3 opening. In fact I took some pictures and a video of the Opening Ceremonies including the parade of the reenactors garbed in the period uniforms. It was really beautiful and inspiringl-Thanks again! I do hope to meet you and have some chat regarding philippine militaria living history and reenactment-something I should focus more on I believe.
Cheers! Ferdie

Hi Ferdie;
Oh.. your there during the openning, pls. send naman some of your photos. You may also mail me at pjavi@amkor.com. What's you're e-mail? So we can send messages. During the openning, I'm wearing the white uniform with Salakot hat & barefoot he-he (Ilocano sldiers of Gen. Tinio's Brigade).
Did you attend our lecture last Jan16 at the Nat'l Museum? We discussed there the different variations of the Phuil. Revol. Uniforms in detail. I had a chance to talk to Richard Lopez.
Its good that you're interested in militaria & reenactment. Do you like to join our Buhay na Kasaysayan eenactment group? We have no requirements like fees, monthly meetings & all those stuff. What a member should do is just to choose & have a uniform (at least 1) of a Filipino soldier (of any era you want) & join us in any event.
If you want to have a uniform of the Philippine Revolution, we can help you... since we are the one who reproduce the uniform, ammunition pouches, etc... Yuo can send you're e-mail & if you like to join, I can send you photos of the different uniform to choose.
I encourage you to join, lalo na you have museums & collections like in Lopez Museums & collections in Batangas & its very nice to see when you have celebrations there like opening of exhibits, etc... the guest may dress up in Filipiniana & you may use the uniform adding the ambiance of the past.
By the way we have the following upcomings events :
1. Mar 27 Sat, 11-5PM at Robinson's Mall, Ermita Manila - Historical Uniform contest 2. Apr 9 - Araw ng Kagitingan - Mt. Samat or Capas Tarlac

Hi Perry,
I can send you the video and the pictures. Thanks for the invite and I would be honored to join your group. I've actually been contemplating on completing a local impression such as a WW2 Phil. Scout but since the W&D exhibit I am thinking of going for a rayadillo uniform for its distinct filipino look. I would appreciate your help in this new endeavor and look forward to discussing it further.

Hi Ferdie;
That's great - welcome to the reenactment group! By the way, you may have different uniforms & wear it time to time on different events. Like me, I have uniforms both during Katipunan time & WWII. Thus if the occassion is about June 12 for example, I'll be in Rayadillo. If the Occassion is Araw ng Kagitingan, I can be in WWII.
By the way, I invite you also on the Phil. Army's Anniversary on Mar 22, at Fort Bonifacio Officer's club House near the Phil. Army Museum. The BNK will be performing there in the late afternoon & have dinner with the Army & guest. We'll be there 5PM for us to dress-up in Katipunan & WWII uniform. You can also meet other reneactors / collectors there & discuss the same interest & meet other people too.
Best rgds; Perry
