Hi everyone, I acquired a while ago a booklet called "To the Philippines" that was given to the troops before the return of the Allied Forces to the Philippines. It says was printed in Brisbane, Australia. It's an interesting read but it is fragile and missing some pages. It discusses why the Allies are going there, the history of the Philippines, a section on the Filipino people, and a little bit of Tagalog. Enjoy! www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50426

What an amazing piece of collectible. It's like Eisenhower's letter to the troops before the D-Day invasion except this one's more elaborate, a book! Did you get from ebay?
