Thanks for these Legionnaire. I was scouring the web and books for proof of filipina nurses in bataan and all i kept getting were the three americans in the first photo.

Speaking of nurses, since I've been on this quest to find out about Nurses and medics in the Philippine Army, and the Philippine Scouts, I found out that one of my aunts on my dad's side, had served as a nurse during WWII. So far I'm still waiting to hear from a first cousin if my aunt (deceased) had ever been assigned to the PS during the pre-war days or if she was captured by the Japanese. I also found out that she retired as a Brigadier General just before she died....

can anyone tell me when did the Pre WWII uniform was replaced, and what replaced it for the enlisted, and officers. I notice that pictures of 1946 shows the PA now wearing khaki shirts & Pants, jump boots, and the WWII steel pot....

I would think that they were replaced when the Americans came back during the liberation. So most likely late 1944 but definitely by 1945 the newly formed units had been given new uniforms and equipment.
