Very nice! Is the shoot for Airsoft Extreme magazine too? Did Col. Aguilar lend the weapons from the PA museum? One of the garands has a WW2 trigger guard too. Congratulations on a great photo shoot

Yes I would like to thank Albert Labrador for his terrific photos. Really made us look great! Finally some photos at the home of the PS, Fort McKinley, P.I.
Thank you to Jojo Nicolas and his son Eric, Perry Javier, Richard and Selwyn for making it.
The PA Museum curator Richard made this all possible. We had to carry the watercooled 30 all the way down from the second floor of the museum back up.
More pics from Ft. Mckinley grounds coming. We also got to participate in the playing of the taps at the Manila American cemetery. ;D
Found Lt. Alexander Nininger's name on the wall. Next location shoot "The Rock!" Mabuhay Philippine scouts!

At the Manila American cemetery Ah yes THIS is a really nice shot. Reminds me of the memorial at Vimy Ridge or Verdun. I see Perry has a new uniform of the Moro scouts. Something new is always special. A generally good turnout for the other squaddies....Nice work blokes!

"What did we tell the guard at the gate?"
were the Philippine Scouts!
That was the magic password. apparently the guards knew who were the scouts. That made our Day! ;D
The end of our photoshoot day was a solemn salute to the heroes when TAPS was played. Really gave me goose bumps. Again a few of the visitors wanted photos with us.
That's an accurately made in the Philippines "Tubao" headwear I had made and Perry used. ;D

What? More details! I'd love to have been there So your car gets to the gate and you guys were already in your uniform coming out of Fort Bonifacio? So what did the guard say? Was the Taps a recording played in a public address system or was there actually a bugler?

Yes we were in Uniform already. Just routine guest questions that was really it. But the mention that we were with the Scouts Society made them notice more of who we were. ;D

No bugler just a routine closing day of the memorial park. Since we were still there representing the PS in Uniforms till closing time, it was a perfect time to give our salute, the taps tune alone made everyone stop and pay respects to the interned is what made it a memorable moment. This end of the day was not planned at all
And so I close the year of the OX (Carabao) Thirty December two thousand and nine with the hosting of our first 25th Anniversary of the Philippine Scouts Heritage Society at Long Beach, CA , as President of the Lt. Alexander Nininger Los Angeles chapter and with the PS Living History Company, Los Angeles, Fort McKinley, Manila, and the Fort Stotsenburg Pampanga chapters with our scout members with a fitting tribute at Ft. William McKinley home of the PS and Manila American Cemetery resting place of the scouts and all the other USAFFE heroes!
Maligayang Bagong Taon at Mabuhay ang Philippine Scouts!

Just routine guest questions that was really it. But the mention that we were with the Scouts Society made them notice more of who we were. ;D If "L.A. Nininger chapter" was mentioned somewhere there, maybe the pinoy security guard started smelling dollars, ha, ha, ha. But joking aside Philip, I'm impressed by this turnout at the U.S. military cemetery at the former Fort McKinley. Let's coordinate with Resty about any activities for April 9. If you don't mind, Teddy can be a our bugler and Manny can be our "Korean prisoner". Now I know it may be a hot summer comming up in the Philippines, but I'll do my best to keep their tempers on ice...FOR THE GOOD OF THE REGIMENT! ;D

Hi Ray,
Yes we can coordinate this as a PS and Commonwealth PA joint reenactment presence for the April 9 event, as we have already started brainstroming for the participation of the Fort McKinley Manila chapter with plans to coordinate with Col. Aguilar. And I can be able to arrange a few jeeps in the event there. As our Corregidor Pilgrimage/photoshoot on JAn 2 & 3 will be the next stage then culminating with the final April 9 event. ;D
BTW Plan to Bring the Commonwealth PA Flag for that event!
Teddy as bugler I have no problem with but I believe they would have a PA bugler already. Yes we will need a "korean" conscript captured prisoner fro display too! ;D
Those who were with me at the Manila American Cemetery were Jojo Nicolas and son Eric, Perry Javier and Selwyn made it too.

Philip and the rest of the guys....again job well done and a very good start indeed.
Bravo and keep it up.....
Perry's pose and uniform reminds me of AEF St Nazarene. I'll post pictures later. Talking to last 12th Medical Regiment PS, he was describing to me exactly what Perry was wearing ( the AEF gears).
I'm impressed with the "Tubao"...

Nice Albert Wow I didn't realize until the last picture how rusty the MG was. How can Perry keep his shirt fitted and tight like that? That's always my problem even if I tug it tight down initially. Happy new year everyone.
