Thanks for the pictures Kev. They should sell prints of the paintings. I'd buy some.

NP! The Mabini shrine also displays the same type of paintings. It looks to be the same artist. I never bothered asking who the artist was. Anybody know who the artist maybe? If we can find out the name of the artist, then maybe we can hunt him down and request some prints of his paintings. ;D Painting of Mabinis capture by American troops.

Disalam
Good idea, your photo shot's look good, maybe we can make prints out of yours. Of course not to sell because of artist rights but for friendly prints of your vacation.

I,m continually amazed by the unwillingness of Filipino Museums & Shrines etc management to allow photos or offer on sale copies of exhibits! Do they realize just how much money & Dollars they are spurning? If they only understood the extra interest & publicity is generated by the world-wide distribution of these souvenirs & mementos! Kevin and Lawrence,
A copy of this painting was used in the cover for the book: "Apolinario Mabini Revolutionary" by Cesar Adib Majul. The painting won first prize in an "Apolinario Mabini Painting Contest" and was painted by a certain Angel Cacnio. The first edition of this book came out in 1964 while the second edition came out in 1993. Though I don't know if this image was in the first edition since I only found the second.

Richard Thanks Richard. The funny thing is, I just got the 3rd Edition(2004) of "Apolinario Mabini Revolutionary" within the past couple weeks. ;D It also has the painting on the book cover...as well as the artists name on the inside cover. Forgot about this post, and never bothered to look it up when I got the book. haha Good that you posted.
