Hi Art, yes I remember seeing that Sakay movie years back.
The cinematography was good as can be expected from Raymond Red, but I didn't like it very much because the storyline treatment was not so nice. It was hard to follow and somewhat boring. It was Red's first full length movie feature and before that, he used to just specialize in short films and commercials.
The actors obviously just wore wig extensions to simulate the long hair of Sakay, (Julio Diaz), and some of his lieutenants. I also noticed the "American Officer-interrogator" wore modern PC or PNP shoulder boards. And then they mixed 1898 U.S. troops wearing blue shirts and khakis with native Philippine constabulary wearing 1902 khaki uniforms.
