Here's one more reason why Filipinos should be proud of their heritage (and one very good reason to visit subject museum) ... At the Macau Museum of Art, whereas the collection of the blade weapons from China, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. look bland (no offense), the Philippine collection is a virtual explosion of variety and beauty: Kris: Panabas & barong: Kampilan & bankung: Pira, gunong, & talibon: Bagobo & T'boli pieces: Mandaya weapons: Sansibar & tenegre: Katipunan blades: Igorot stuff: The photos are care of the Macau Museum of Art website.
