Hi everyone,
I went through my photo CDs and finally found some of my old photos of me wearing my various impressions. Most of these were taken in 2002-2005 period and have been posted for display in FilAirsoft. So, for some of you, these are nothing new. I hope you enjoy them all the same.
Here they are:
1) British Paratrooper 1980s - This was inspired by the book I have about the Falklands Crisis. I'm wearing a Denison smock in the DPM pattern. The rifle I have is just a mock up of a FAL. I now have an airsoft version of this rifle. I should update this photo.
2) British Desert Rat Gulf War - The Gulf War (Kuwait Invasion) was the first time I saw the DPM in Desert scheme. It was so exotic and rare that I made it my mission to complete this uniform impression as fast as I can. The Gulf War was also the conflict where the British started using the SA80. The one I have in this impression is the spring version. I now also have this in AEG an should update his photo. Note that I have the proper olive green colored web gear.
3) British Desert Rat Gulf War NBC uniform - another exotic item (at the time). I modified my webbing by using the chest rig (in Forrest DPM). One thing I should warn you about wearing this NBC uniform is that it is lined with charcoal. After you take it off, you'll look like you just cleaned the chimmney or something.
4) British Desert Rat Europe late 1990s - Now I have the current BDU worn by the British. I forgot now the model number of the BDU, but, trust me, it was current at the time. Check out my webbing, it is now in DPM pattern as well.
5) British Soldier under UN Command 2000s - At this point, I just added the blue cover for the body armor and helmet plus I also got me a UN Beret, so, why not do a UN impression, right?
6) British Royal Marine Artic Uniform - This is one of my prized items in my Militaria collection. An actual British white over uniform plus face mask and overboots!
7) British Royal Marine Afghanistan - Here's when they started mix-matching the uniform patterns. Plus a chance for me to show off my M249. Yeah!
8) British SAS CRW uniform - Need I say more about this one?
There you go, my British uniform collection. I have to post my German ones.
