"Greetings & Salutations!" Was very impressed with the volunteers dressed as the Philippine Scouts, it was like looking at the old black & white photographs turn into colour with the photos coming to life. Right away I could tell their uniforms, field equipment, 1903 and 1917 Springfield bolt-action rifles and the M-1 Garand rifles along with their headgear (campaign hats, WW1 metal helmets, etc., all authentic! The M-1 Rifles must have set the purchaser back a bundle of cash and even then are really difficult to acquire! The coloured pictures on the poster was very easy to read and gave the viewer an idea of what the Philippine Constabulary and Scouts looked like. God willing, hope to make it down to Fort MacArthur and take more pictures and email scans to the members of the Philippine Scouts. It was an honour to be at the Philippine Independence Day celebration in Carson, California. Please feel free to download and use any pictures I have at www.webshots,com photo albums, have about 6,000 images of insignia and uniforms including those of the best friend the U.S. had before, during and after WW2, The Philippines! Keep up the fine tradition ladies and gentlemen! Respectfully yours, H.H. "Sarge" Booker 2nd of Tujunga, California
