An Anarchy of Families: The State and Family in the Philippines Edited by Alfred W. Mcoy (Highly Recommended). If you want to see how the powerful rule and stay in power.
Tragedy of the Revolution, by Adrian E. Cristobal (for the Bonifacio guys there)
Philippine Ancestral Houses.
Burgis.
And various other stuff by Nick Joaquin, F. Sionil Jose or Ambeth Ocampo.

Agoncillo also wrote a two-volume history of the Philippines during WWII - anyone see it (or know where to find it)?

I can't help you on that except give you this info:
