A friend of mine indicated that the Philippine Scouts were using the M1895 Vickers 2.95 inch Mountain Guns up through 1941. Are there any models of this gun in colections in the Philippines and/or are there any for sale? I visited the Philippines three years ago and I love the country! Fritz Brohn

I saw one for sale at a VERY high price - maybe $47,000 is what it was. Unfortunately, can't remember the link.

That sounds about what I've heard for Hotchkiss Mountain Guns. They are NOT cheap, that's for sure. Drop a line if you remember the link.

a 2.95" WOULD INDEED COST ALOT IF YOU FOUND ONE. THE S.S. CORREGIDOR WAS LOADED WITH THEM WHEN SHE STRUCK A U.S. MINE AT CORREGIDOR. SHE WAS TRYING TO GET THE GUNS TO MINDANAO. THIS WAS IN DEC.42. HIGHLY EFFECTIVE WEAPON ON BATAAN DESPITE THE AGE ETC.THOSE SHRAPNEL ROUNDS WERE DEADLY.FOXHOLEFRANK.
