Thanks for the invite Vic! Very good move on this forum V. Two thumbs up! I hope that with this forum and with everybody's help, my airsoft team can get started on the Phil.Scout gear collection. let's see, right now all i got is a doughboy helmet (which i still need to restore), a 1941 canteen w/ cover but no cap, a 1942 first aid pouch and .45 mag pouch and a pair of leggings (which is an army issue but i guess it'll do for now until i get the right one)...and i almost forgot, my 1942 brown leather holster - that's it. so, i guess i still need a zillion things to buy before i complete my P.S. gear. anyway, it's great to be on board and Kamusta sa inyong lahat dyan mga kababayan! rommel

Who comes up with the shoot ideas? When you get a chance paki-share naman dito yung VN pics niyo. Thanks. V

Hey V, We used to do our photo shoot in between airsoft games and after the games. Actually, we learned that the best time to do a photo shoot is after a day's game..this is the time when everybody's dead tired and that (i think) really shows in our eyes and in the photos... ...plus we dont have to touch up our uniforms to make it look dirty The down side to this is, there is really not much time to do all the photos we want as the sun always sets on us or we have to pack up and catch the bus back to the city. And for our latest VN pics, we just did a whole day photo shoot w/o any games...i think i can see in some of the photos that we dont look tired enough Basically, our team ay 'magbabarkada' kaya we always talk about anything and share ideas to everybody and then we develop, research and analize the idea if it can be done or not. ...our latest VN photos took 5 months R&D before it became a reality...and every team member was like 90% complete already with the VN gear, and still we have to buy more stuff to make it more authentic and accurate. sure, i can post our VN pics here but...mga kano kasi ang impresssion namin dun..di ba nakakahiya

No problem even if your VN impressions are US. The photos themselves can serve as a good reference material for future WWII photo shoots. They may provide good ideas for angles, perspectives, treatment, and emotion.
I like the attention to detail and the artistry in those VN photos that you guys shot. Galing!

Great site guys. Another LRRP from Hong Kong who got turned onto your site by One-zero.
We are in the process of developing a WW2 photo shoot but as you know collecting the proper gear and weapons is both time consuming and expensive. The great part however is learning all the history along the way.
Love this site and hope I can contribute in the future.

Welcome Kalbs!
You guys have enough people in your group with enough interest in impressions and history to eventually put together a great photo shoot. Your VN impressions and photos are great!

The beauty of being in Hong Kong is we are so close to China that we can go have reproductions made for dirt cheap. It's just finding the correct fabric that makes thisgs difficult sometimes.
All the LRRP's are dedicated to the hobby. Do you guys ever use airsoft guns in your reenactments? We have an M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, 2 M1A1's a M1897 shotgun, several 1911's, a M1 Bazooka and a 1919A4 for our next photo shoot. All are either airsoft guns or reproductions crafted by the team. as the use of real firearms is out legally of the question here in Hong Kong.

Welcome and glad you join us here.
At Fort Macarthur it mostly real firearms used by reenactors plus a live firing artillery show.
Most airsofts as I kbeleive are used only in war games style. That is so great that you guys have access to china for cheaper labor and materials.
We have to have uniforms made in the Philippines to save a lot more. But needs direct supervision and guidance.
Philip

Hey Victor,
It's me Joseph, a.k.a. as "BravoTwoZero". I joined this board a few days after the Fort MacArthur Days and I posted the pictures I took from there. Great to see a board like this. Just a request though, is it possible to add a forum about Filipino collectors (any period)? I have a lot of impressions covering World War II and modern day. Maybe that Filipino collectors forum would be a place to share each other's collections. What do you think? I you consider this request more of off-topic, it's okay. Just figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Kalbs, great to see you here!
