It's widely known to us WW2 Philippines history buffs that the 26th Cavalry polo team played the Manila Polo Club team at Fort Stotsenburg on Dec. 7th, 1941.... and lost.
But not in May, 1937. It looks like the 26th's team beat the MPC. Since the trophy is engraved with the Manila Polo Club logo, it must have been a home game for them in Manila, and the 26th Cavalry was the visiting team.
