After over 50 years of "dreaming", I will fulfilling this dream and will be visiting both Bataan and Corregidor in January 2014. I'll be spending a small amount of time in the Manila-area, mainly just to see the American Cemetery. I plan on an "overnight" on Corregidor and then some sightseeing on Bataan with a side trip to Grande Island to see Fort Wint (I give tours at nearby Fort Casey, which, of course, has four guns brought over from Fort Wint in the late 1960s). It should be a memorable trip and I particularly wish to thank two gentlemen living over there who are going to take me around, as well as Victor, of course (he gave me the final "kick" I needed to plan the trip!). I'm pumped!!

Mike, just sent you a PM with some added information about my trip.
Fort Casey is located on Whidbey Island, the long-spaghetti-shaped island north of Seattle WA. It is a former coast artillery fort from the same general time period as Corregidor. In 1967, two 10-inch guns were removed from Fort Wint, brought over to Fort Casey, and installed on the mounts of Battery Worth, where they remain today. I give tours of the fort during the summer.
