Hi guys,
I was wondering... is the location of the canteen (or the bayonet or first aid pouch for that matter) stipulated in standing regulations? Would this be applicable for the Philippine Commonwealth Army? Like if a PCA soldier attached the canteen to his right hip or at the left front part of his webbing would that be okay or would he get in trouble for it?
Thanks, Tom

Oh and another quick related question - did all the webbing for the PCA come from America or would it have been made by local industries to American specifications?
Again many thanks! Tom

Hi Tom, I believe there is a regulation placement of web gear items and would have been part of inspection. However once in battle and the bullets are flying, I'm sure anything goes. But for reference, check out this photo (training exercise). The web gear items were all uniformly in the same spot. As for the PCA, I think their web gear were pretty much US Army surplus.
