It doesn't look too shabby, but I have a feeling it won't be so good.

Ughh, I hate to say it but it looks... ridiculous. The Battle of Manila Bay fought with the Spanish ships under full sail? Give me a break. The American uniforms look utterly ridiculous. I have a terrible sinking feeling that Tikoy will cheap out again like he did with Rizal sa Dapitan. If you're gonna make a work of art that costs you money, you either throw everything in the pile and make it good or don't bother.

From the Trailer the American uniforms are a joke! Their wearing wearing the "yellow" scarf of the cavalry? The officers wears a ridiculous cheap imitation campaign hat. Now are they cavalry as they are wearing chin straps? There's no excuse that there is not enough reference materials to use.
I can't believe they stole two scenes 1:15 - 1:20 from the film "The Last Samurai" Those are early "Japanese " uniforms. What a joke!

It is as I feared when no news was forthcoming from the promoters themselves. There are plenty of re-enactors in the USA who would have filled the roles of the Americans, at a cost no greater than employing Fil. actors and paying for inferior uniforms and weapons! Pay for them to fly out on Phil. Air Lines and offer free food and sleeping arrangements; problem solved. The uniforms used in the film Baler would be enough for the Fil. forces. The problem is alas a common Filipino one of thinking that big bucks can be made with the minimum of effort, and that "This is good enough"! Lastly the Film makers in the Philippines only ever consider the domestic market and never strive to engage the American market, let alone the World. It seems nothing has been learnt or has progressed since "The Tirad Pass" movie. They boasted last year that 10 years research had gone into all aspects of the film. Sorry folks but If you are looking for a good film about this subject or any other period film on the Phil.s then wait, until Hollywood makes one or pay the Indian, Korean, Chinese or Japanese to do the job! Sad, Sad, Sad!
