Place names in the Philippines indicates that pre-Spanish Mediterranean peoples came here first.

Best that can be found are those Greeks in Magellan's fleet. There likely were more ethnic Greeks in the later expeditions, but my bet would be they were descendants of refugees from 1453.
I'm trying to locate an account of a Greek who went by the last name of Kephalos, who either sailed with Legaspi, or was killed in one of the Manila Chinese revolts in the 17th century. All I can recall is that he managed to keep his Orthodoxy.
